Apparel Park on Yamuna Expressway Set to Become New Hub for Employment and Exports
A large-scale apparel park is being developed along the Yamuna Expressway industrial region in Uttar Pradesh, with the aim of transforming the area into a major textile and export hub. The project is part of the state government’s broader strategy to strengthen industrial development, promote manufacturing, and generate large-scale employment opportunities.
The initiative is expected to play a significant role in positioning Uttar Pradesh as one of India’s leading centers for textile and apparel exports. Authorities believe that the apparel park will serve as a milestone in the state’s industrial growth, attracting investment while also providing employment opportunities for thousands of young professionals.
The apparel park is being developed across approximately 175 acres of land in the Yamuna Expressway industrial area. The project is designed to host a cluster of textile and garment manufacturing units, enabling integrated production and supply chains within a single industrial ecosystem.
According to official project details, 173 industrial plots of varying sizes have been planned within the park to accommodate companies from the textile and apparel sector. These plots are being allocated to enterprises involved in garment manufacturing, export-oriented production, and related industries.
As part of the ongoing development process, a substantial portion of the plots has already been allotted. Project updates indicate that 156 plots have been allocated to investors, reflecting strong interest from companies looking to establish manufacturing units in the region.
The development is also expected to stimulate significant investment in the industrial corridor. Authorities report that 106 lease deeds have already been executed, and 89 investors have been allotted plots as part of the allocation process. These developments indicate rapid progress toward operationalizing the apparel park.
Infrastructure development within the park is also advancing steadily. Reports indicate that 118 factories have already begun the construction process, while 39 building plans have received official approval. Construction work has already started on 15 industrial units, marking the initial phase of manufacturing activity in the area.
Industry experts believe that the project will create thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities, particularly for workers in the textile and garment sector. The apparel park is also expected to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as well as emerging start-ups operating in the textile value chain.
The project aligns with the state government’s broader vision of strengthening industrial infrastructure along the Yamuna Expressway corridor. By developing sector-specific industrial clusters, the government aims to enhance manufacturing capacity, increase exports, and integrate local industries into national and global supply chains.
Officials also emphasize that the apparel park will provide modern infrastructure and logistical support to textile companies. This includes industrial facilities, transport connectivity, and proximity to major markets and export channels.
The development of the apparel park is being viewed as a key step in expanding Uttar Pradesh’s textile industry. With strong investor participation and increasing infrastructure development, the project is expected to contribute significantly to industrial growth, employment generation, and export expansion in the coming years.
