Rajasthan to Build Expressways Inspired by Uttar Pradesh Model

After witnessing the rapid construction of expressways in Uttar Pradesh, the Rajasthan government is now preparing to adopt a similar model to enhance its own infrastructure development.

A delegation from the Rajasthan government recently conducted a two-day study tour in UP, focusing on expressway construction techniques and project management strategies implemented by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA).

During the visit, UPEIDA officials, including senior engineers Girish Jain and Somya Rathi, shared insights on project execution, land acquisition strategies, EPC and PPP models, as well as the monitoring mechanisms that have helped UP achieve record-breaking progress.

The delegation studied technical aspects of various ongoing expressway projects and examined how UP ensures speed, quality, and transparency through centralized institutional support.

According to sources, similar institutional frameworks are now being planned not only in Rajasthan but also in Gujarat, modeled on UPEIDA’s success formula.
