Rajasthan’s Celebrated Mand Folk Singer Gavri Devi Passes Away at 98
Renowned Rajasthan Mand folk singer Gavri Devi passed away at the age of 98, leaving behind a rich musical legacy that kept the traditional Mand singing style alive for decades.
Gavri Devi breathed her last at her residence in Jaipur. She was widely respected for her soulful voice and her lifelong contribution to Rajasthan’s folk music tradition. Through her singing, she gave national recognition to Mand music and inspired generations of folk artists.
