Installation of Ram Darbar Idol Marks Spiritual Milestone at Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Temple

A major spiritual event was held in Ayodhya as the idol of Shri Ram Darbar—featuring Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman, and Bharat—was ceremoniously consecrated within the sanctum of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The event marks another milestone in the temple’s grand development.

According to Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, this idol will be permanently placed in the temple’s first floor garbhagriha (inner sanctum) and is made from rare and sacred Shyam Shila (black stone) sourced from Karnataka.

The consecration ceremony, which began at 12:15 PM, was conducted with Vedic rituals and attended by select priests and dignitaries. The entire process was overseen under strict traditional procedures to maintain religious sanctity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had earlier performed the Pran Pratishtha (life invocation) of the main idol of Ram Lalla on January 22, 2024, has been deeply involved in this mission to restore Ayodhya’s spiritual heritage. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also praised the Trust’s efforts, calling the event a divine milestone for Indian civilization.

The Trust confirmed that final temple construction works are proceeding swiftly and will be completed by December. Meanwhile, footfall of devotees continues to rise with each passing day.

This installment of Ram Darbar signifies a complete narrative of Lord Ram’s life, symbolizing devotion, dharma, and national unity.
