The construction of the grand Shri Ram Mandir complex in Ayodhya is progressing rapidly and is expected to be fully completed by December 2025. This was confirmed by Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, during a media interaction in Ayodhya.
According to Rai, the sanctum sanctorum and the first floor of the temple have already been completed. The temple's lower section is built with pink sandstone from Mirzapur, while the upper portion features marble from Rajasthan. By the end of 2024, over 75 percent of the work had been completed, with finishing touches now underway on various structures within the complex.
Rai further informed that the construction of the 'Parikrama Marg' around the sanctum sanctorum, as well as the main entrance (Singh Dwar), is also near completion. The trust is confident that the temple complex will be open for full public viewing by the end of the year.
He added that more than 4 lakh devotees are visiting the temple every day, a testament to the growing enthusiasm and devotion among people from all across the country and abroad.
The trust has also launched several other developmental works to accommodate the influx of pilgrims, including expanded facilities and security infrastructure. This mega project continues to be a symbol of faith and national pride.
