India Must Be Militarily and Economically Invincible: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat emphasized the necessity of making India so militarily and economically powerful that it remains unconquered and self-sufficient in a constantly changing global scenario.
Speaking at an event in New Delhi, Bhagwat said that for India to play a meaningful role in ensuring global peace, it must become a nation so strong that no one dares to threaten or dominate it. “The world respects strength,” he stated. “India must possess such military and economic power that it stays undefeated under any circumstance.”
Bhagwat highlighted that while moral values are essential, they need to be supported by strength and capabilities. He said, “Our country should become a model of how spiritual and material strength can go hand-in-hand. We have to build a Bharat that protects its culture, stands firm on its identity, and can defend itself in any situation.”
He stressed the need for a comprehensive national security framework and a self-reliant economic model. “India must not only focus on economic growth but also on strengthening its defense and internal systems to ensure national security.”
Bhagwat warned of the dangers posed by internal threats and disinformation campaigns. He said these challenges can only be tackled with national unity, societal awareness, and strong leadership.
He also praised India’s spiritual legacy and traditions, urging people to recognize their roots and contribute toward the nation's resurgence. “The future of the world depends on India’s spiritual leadership, but we can only fulfill this role if we are strong from within.”
In his concluding remarks, Bhagwat expressed hope that India would continue to rise on the path of strength and self-reliance by 2047, the centenary year of independence.
