Pankaj Chaudhary Appointed as BJP’s 17th State President

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Member of Parliament Pankaj Chaudhary has been appointed as the party’s 17th State President, marking a significant organizational transition within the party’s leadership structure. The formal declaration was made during a high-level party event attended by senior leaders, including Union ministers, state government representatives, and members of the party’s national executive.

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal officially announced the appointment. The declaration followed the completion of the internal organizational process and was accompanied by the presentation of the official certificate of appointment. Prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, senior cabinet ministers, and several elected representatives, were present on the occasion, highlighting the importance of the leadership change.

Speaking at the ceremony, Piyush Goyal underscored India’s growing economic stature, stating that the country is steadily advancing toward becoming the world’s third-largest economy. He emphasized that this progress is being driven by stable governance, policy reforms, and a strong organizational structure within the ruling party. Goyal noted that the role of party leadership at the state level is crucial in aligning governance with the aspirations of citizens and strengthening grassroots outreach.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated Pankaj Chaudhary on assuming the responsibility and expressed confidence in his ability to further consolidate the party’s organizational framework. He highlighted the importance of disciplined leadership, effective coordination among party workers, and continuous public engagement. According to the Chief Minister, strong party organization remains a key pillar in implementing development-oriented governance.

In his address after taking charge, Pankaj Chaudhary stated that his leadership approach would focus on teamwork, discipline, and active engagement with party workers at every level. He emphasized that his priority would be to strengthen the organization by ensuring effective communication between the leadership and grassroots cadres. Chaudhary affirmed that the party’s work would not merely revolve around organizational positions but would be centered on performance, accountability, and public service.

He further stated that political leadership must operate on four essential pillars: organization, governance, public outreach, and ideology. He stressed that the party must continue to engage with people at the ground level, understand their concerns, and translate policies into tangible development outcomes. According to him, every party worker must function as a representative of good governance and national progress.

Several senior leaders, including members of the party’s national council and state executive, extended their congratulations and expressed optimism about the new leadership. The event was marked by ceremonial proceedings, the exchange of mementos, and collective reaffirmation of the party’s commitment to national development.

With this appointment, the BJP aims to further strengthen its organizational base, enhance coordination between the central and state leadership, and prepare strategically for future electoral and governance challenges. Pankaj Chaudhary’s elevation is expected to play a key role in consolidating the party’s outreach efforts and reinforcing its long-term political vision.
